Rich Harvest

Gisborne grapes have earned for themselves a privileged name throughout New Zealand. On this page we show photographs taken at the vineyards of Mr and Mrs J. Douglas, at "Sunny Valley", Hexton. From here, grapes are sent as far south as the Bluff and as far north as Kaikohe. At the height of the season, "Sunny Valley" sends up to 2½ tons of grapes to Wellington every week.
