"Miss Gisborne 1964", 20-year-old hairdresser Patricia Hill, is pictured at Waikanae Beach on our colour cover this month.

Miss Hill is to join other New Zealand centre winners on a tour of New Zealand commencing at the end of this month, visiting Gisborne in May.

Following the tour, she will take part in the "Miss New Zealand" finals, to be held in Dunedin early in June.

Two Ghana student dental nurses, Victoria Mensah and Elizabeth Adams, who stayed in Gisborne recently on a holiday visit organised by the Public Relations Office in conjunction with the W.D.F.F., pictured in the Botanical Gardens wearing their colourful native costumes, During their stay, the two students were accommodated by Mrs M. Gordon, Hangaroa, and Mrs J. Eivers, Patutahi.

As Colombo plan students, they were in New Zealand on a 12-month course in Wellington.
