Off to Australia

Mr Ross Williams, with his wife, Jeanette, and daughter, Kerry, who have left Gisborne on transfer with the National Insurance Company to live in Shepparton, Victoria, Australia.

Ross, who would be known to hundreds of athletio and Rugby fans, excelling in both fields, holds the Hawkes Bay-Poverty Bay centre record for the 220 yards hurdles and has represented Poverty Bay at Rugby as wing three-quarters.

Intensely interested in his sport, he intends to carry on with athletics in Australia, and hopes to try his hand at Australian Rules football.
