Snow White and The Seven Dwarfs
Walt Disney's famous fairy-tale characters, Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs, delighted thousands of Gisborne children and adults, when they appeared in person on the Opera House stage for a six-day, 12-performance, season.
Featuring: the original Australian cast, headed by Joan Sharratt as Snow White, her husband Paul as the jovial King, and the seven dwarfs, ably supported by the minor characters, a ballet group, and an orchestra, the show proved an immediate success with its patrons, playing to exceptional houses, considering the length of its season.

Joan Sharratt finds her husband's antics, while grooming her hair, highly amusing.
A party of crippled and intellectually handicapped children met the cast after one of their performances. Doc, Snow White, and King Ferdinand are pictured with a member of the group.
