Summer Sunday at Waikanae
Through a somewhat patchy holiday season as far as weather was concerned, the temperatures occasionly soared into the eighties on days when most people were free to cool off in the sea. On such a summer Sunday we took these two pictures on Waikanae Beach.
The balcony of the new pavilion gives an unexcelled panorama of the beach and the bay.
From the beach, looking towards the pavilion. Apart from some criticism about lack of privacy in dressing rooms, the pavilion has been well received by the general public, and was the subject of many complimentary remarks by visitors.
