Girls on the March

One of December's notable events iras the big parade of marching teams through the main street on the occasion of Gisborne's open and local marching championships.

Teams were present from Whakatane, Hawkes Bay, Opotiki and Wairoa.

The parade on its way up Gladstone Road, headed by the Jenkins Team (Wairoa), followed by Gisborne's Xclusive Gowns team and the new Gisborne Maori Club team.

Immediately ahead of the band was the Xclusive Gowns team from Wairoa.
