In Quest of the Golden Plough

The Nelson section of the Atlantic Oil Company's Silver Plough ploughing contest was held at Appleby. Nine ploughmen from Nelson-Marlborough contested the final, which was won by Hope entrant, D. McDowell. He will take part in final at Dunedin next Saturday, the winner to represent New Zealand at the Golden Plough world contest in France in September.
