Two Priests Ordained at Nelson

St. Mary's Catholic Church, Manuka Street, was crowded for the ordination to the priesthood of two young Nelson men, Peter Charles Blake, and John Edward Weir. The impressive ceremony conducted by the Catholic Bishop of Christchurch, the Most Rev. E. M. Joyce, was the first to be held in the parish for three years. (all pics by Peter Cooper).
