The man behind the comb and scissors is Ted Langley, a pretty well-known Nelson personality. Ted clicks his shears at Don Thomas's shop. He's married with four children, two of whom are married. Ted's been hairdressing now for 36 years, most of that time in Nelson. He has been associated with amateur cycling since 1934, first as a Nelson and Wellington centre representative and later as an official. He's also keen on pig and deer stalking.

These two girls, Shona Lusty and Jenny Morgan, may be reservation clerks at the N. A. C. air centre, but they're not flighty. Ouch.' Shona has been with N.A.C. a little more than a year. Both of them come from Motueka and both are single, but they have different interests. Shona likes classical music (and pop) and is a piano player of some note. She's also keen on water skiing. Jenny likes horse riding, volleyball, swimming and pop music.

Another Manchester lad is Tom Burgoyne, a radio technician with Griffiths Radio Service. He's been with the firm for 11 years. He's a radio ham also and hopes to play soccer this coming season.

Derek Renshaw, a woodworking machinist for B. C. Hart, has lived in Nelson 5 years, coming originally from Manchester. He's married and has a boy and a girl. Steam engines are his hobby and in his spare time takes the kiddies for rides on the model train at Tahuna. He's a member of the Nelson Modellers' Society also.
