Stoke Spree
The Stoke Spree, run this year as a deliberate counter attraction to the dubious festivities indulged in at the Post Office on New Year's eve seems certain of becoming a permanent New Year's Eve carnival. About 4000 people were drawn to the carnival and an excellent family atmosphere prevailed throughout. This was a Stoke Jaycee project, and a most successful one it was.
