Picnic Races at Richmond

A huge crowd flocked to the Richmond Showgrounds for the first of the two equalisator meetings held during the New Year period. Good fields and some exciting racing (and some good divvies, too), helped make this first meeting a memorable one.

Royal Beauty fell in the Jacobite Handicap but suffered no injury. However, with all that gear on, it took some time and effort to extricate the horse.

And while the parents were enjoying themselves, the younger ones were having fun on crazy bikes round the back.
