There are two families included in this four generations picture, members of the Thompson and Markham families. Cause of the picture is baby Gregory Markham Thompson, held by his mother, Lynn Thompson. At the back are Murray Thompson (grandfather), Mona Billings (grandmother, Markham family), Bel Thompson (grandmother), Ian Thompson (father). Front: Lilian Markham (great-grandmother), and Bessie Thompson (great-grandmother).

Mr and Mrs S. A. Orr, Goddards Road, Tasman, who celebrated their silver wedding anniversary recently. (John R. Sharp Studio).

Nita King, from Broken Hill, Australia, has been teaching at the Tasman School for the past year. She is returning home in January.

New Automobile Association patrolman is Ken Morris, of Nelson. Ken was brought up at Tasman and parents recently came to Nelson from Tasman to live.

Mr S. B. Smith, headmaster of Tahunanui School for the last 10 years, will retire at the end of this school year, Mr Smith came to Nelson from the King Country. Mr and Mrs Smith will continue to live in Nelson.
