Trophies Awarded at Stalkers' Dinner

Nelson deerstalkers who have ranged the mountains throughout the district and Westland in the past year for trophies, saw how their heads compared with others when the stalkers came together for their annual dinner and prize-giving at Redwood Hall recently. Don Cummings, a stalker for 30 years, had his first major success in that time when he was awarded the Whitcombe Trophy for the best stag head of the year.
