The final stages in the erection of the coastal bridge at Motueka which, when linked to a causeway on the Tasman side of the estuary, will give a direct route into Motueka. The pre-stressed concrete decking slabs are being laid in this picture. The bridge is 188ft long. The road will emerge by the cool store in High Street south. The Waimea County Council hopes to have the earthworks commenced by Christmas and the job completed by next Easter.
