St. John Awards

Ten Nelson district Cadets, eight of them from Richmond, were presented with the Grand Prior Badge – the highest award obtainable in the cadet unit – at a parade at Tahunanui last month. The presentation was the largest ever in the Wellington centre. Two of the eight, brothers Max and Stuart Clark, did their training at Richmond but recently transferred to Tahuna. The eight, above, are David Mitchell, John Levy, Max Clare, Tim Haughey, Brian Beach, Stuart Clark, Michael Renwick and Wayne Rowe. A ninth Richmond cadet, Trevor Carston, was absent.
