Schools Music Festival

About 400 primary school children from schools in the central area of Nelson provided a capacity audience with a thrilling evening of music in the girls' college assembly hall last month. Each school presented its own items then the schools combined to form a choir of 180 voices for several works. As well, the massed orchestra, drawn mainly from primary schools, presented several numbers.

One of the highlights of the evening was the Hira and Clifton Terrace Schools' musical dramatisation of "The Pied Piper"
