Ponies at Tapawera

Ponies and riders from as far afield as Marlborough competed in the Tapawera Pony Club's oneday event. Feature event of the day was the cross country and a testing course eliminated many contenders. One of the most difficult jumps is shown in the pic at left, in which instant a rider is about to take an involuntary dip, and below, where horse and rider have successfully negotiated jump and ditch.
