Meet Arthur Collins and Alan Best who work for Timber Distributors Ltd, at Bolt Road. Arthur is a driver and a bachelor who has lived most of his life in Nelson. He's been with the firm for about 13 years. When the weekends and holidays come, Arthur's off into the hills in search of pig and deer, and he's also keen on all other sports. Alan is married and has a boy and a girl, one at Waimea Intermediate and one at Nayland primary. He's been with the firm as a stacker about five months but he's been working with timber for about 13 years He's a keen gardener and grows strawberries as a hobby. The fish of Tasman Bay call strongly to him in the summer.

Photographs, as taken by Aerial Surveys Ltd, are the business of Judy Weller, a draughting trainee employed by the company. Judy is 17½ and a former pupil of Waimea College. She's been with the firm for seven months. Her interests include hockey (for Richmond seniors) and athletics.

This chap, Jim Allen, is always tyred. He's a retreader with Nelson Retreads and has been with the firm for three years. Jim comes from Westport originally, and he's married with a daughter. His great interest is golf.

Next month Marietta Muollo will walk down the aisle to meet Murray Durdle in front of the altar. Marietta, a clerk with the Inland Revenue since last September, is a member of the Taxes indoor basketball team and she's keen on sewing also.

Five years ago Ted Powell came from Kent to Nelson. He's now a welder employed by Dorman Engineering Ltd. Ted has two daughters and is a keen rock hound, gardener and fisherman.
