Berwick Golf Tourney

The young Nelson golfer Darryl Templeman took the major trophy in the annual Berwick golf tournament played at the Nelson links recently. The tournament was notable for some excellent scoring by Templeman and Graeme Lummis, especially in the early rounds. While on the subject of golf we congratulate the Nelson-Marlborough-Westland Freyberg Rosebowl tournament team on its excellent performance at the tournament. The team headed the South Island teams and was placed sixth overall. Lummis lost only one of his matches.
