Glamour Evening at Hope
The Nelson branch of the Intellectually Handicapped Children's Society benefited to the tune of $100 from a glamour evening organised by Henderson's Pharmacy, of Richmond, and held in the Hope Hall. A big crowd of women watched Auckland cosmetician Mrs Nancy Dyke and Wella hair stylist, Mrs Patti Gilmore, as they transformed their models into glamour gals. The demonstrations ended with a champagne supper, the climax to an evening thoroughly enjoyed by the ladies.
