Auction Aids Anzac Scouts

Would you have paid 20c for a radio in going order? Or what about $1 for a three-piece suite? You would? Then you should have attended the auction organised by the Anzac Scout group in Pioneer Park last month. Because that's what Neil Cameron (left) paid for this radio, and some unknown buyer paid for the three piece suite being carted away by willing Scouters, hands (below). Many of the articles for sale found a buyer, but prices were way down low, unfortunately for the Scouts. Jack McNamara got a good buy and didn't mind paying Stan Lynch for it (above). In the meantime, the Scouts, John Costello in particular (below left), tried out the flying fox.
