Housewives on Wheels

One is apt to associate the moan "oh my aching feet" with busy housewives after a hard day of whizzing hither, thither and yon, but there are some housewives in Nelson who are real tigers for punishment. They get off their feet to get about on wheels, and for some of these, the cry becomes "oh my aching sit-me-down". But sore though they might have been, they are now having fun - on roller skates. The ladies are taking advantage of the Nelson Skating Club's offer to get away from it all on skates, and, like a character from TV, "they're loving it." The mums take the kiddies who enjoy the outing as much as the mums.
