Judging by size and weight Mr G. C. Gates has enough pumpkin here to feed a regiment for a year or so. These four pumpkins, grown by Mr Gates at his home on Victoria Heights, aggregate 378 lbs. The biggest was 118lb.

The felling of this cedar on the property of Mr W. H. Wilkes, 75 Queen Street, Richmond, aroused considerable interest. It is believed to be the last of what originally was a belt of cedars in this area.

The last overseas shipment of this season's apples was taken by the Saxon Star this month. The shipment totalled 161,000 cases.
