The Nelson Boxing Association opened its season's activities with sparring bouts in the sports hall - at least they were to have been sparring bouts, but some of the youngsters in particular took this as a first class opportunity to let off some steam. And let it off they did. Some of the bouts were real whirlwind affairs that caused more hilarity than harm. The evening was preliminary to a tournament the association intends to hold in the Y.M.C.A. stadium on evening of July 8.
