Golden Downs Forest from the Air
In a long, narrow valley overshadowed by pinecovered hills lies a small community of people who work in the vast state forest of Golden Downs. It is a closely-knit community, fairly isolated from the bigger centres outside the forest boundaries, but a peaceful settlement with something to offer all interested in an outdoor life. This aerial photo of the settlement shows (1) the workshops and garages, (2) the administration building; (3) the junior woodsmen's hostel, (4) married men's homes.
