Cyril Pfefferley has worked for 22 years with the Electricity Department, but until recently had never seen an opossum so far along a high tension line. This fellow was sitting on top of 110,000 volts in the 88 Valley and provided subject for Cyril's camera.

A new thriving industry for Nelson is the export to the United States and Europe of deep frozen venison. The deer, shot in the Karamea region, is flown out by Golden Coast Airways and is shipped overseas by Nelson Fisheries.
