After 19 months in Melbourne, Rosalie Johnston has returned to New Zealand and is now working in the Bank of New Zealand, Wellington. Rosalie celebrated her 21st birthday in January and she is to be married next month in Richmond.

At 9 pm, on Friday, March 8, Ken Beach walked away from 46 years of hairdressing as he left the Hardy Street shop of Ron Gibbons. His last customer, Walter Kaspar, is from Wellington. Happy retirement, Ken!

Gary Stewart, a refrigeration engineer with Sturrock and Greenwood, is off overseas on a New Zealand Shipping Company boat as a refrigeration engineer. Gary has lived in Nelson all his life and has been a keen shooter. He was also a member of the old Silhouettes Dance Band, as drummer.
