A display of hundreds of cacti plants of all shapes, sizes and descriptions (but all prickly) dominated the Sports Hall for the Nelson Horticultural Society's annual dahlia show. The display, exhibited by Ronald Spellerberg, was valued at more than 1000, and is pictured above. At left, Alf Hollyman puts the finishing touches to his blooms.
