Back to School

For hundreds of thousands of New Zealand children, the beginning of February also marked the return to school or the commencement of their education. Here in Nelson, as elsewhere in the country, children faced the prospect of resuming their schooling with mixed feelings. For first-year boarders at Nelson College and for the Girls' College, the first day was a little terrifying. For most of the others, there was the exciting prospects of new classes, new teachers and new playmates.
