"Oh, Eric, Hay's Corner's a frightening sight,

With few cars on the left, a great line on the right,

And frustrated drivers all fume in the queue,

While those with the know-how take the short cut straight through.

It has got to be stopped, the A. A. knows it well,

For Hay's Corner at 5, is just maddening hell,

So confer with the people in whom lie the powers,

To find a solution to this problem of ours."
