Weekend School Camp

Taking half a dozen children on a weekend camp can be quite an unsettling experience, we hear. But for Father P. Cahill, and nearly 100 children from St. Joseph's Convent School it proved to be the thrill of a lifetime. Aided by two camp mothers and the wholehearted co-operation of the children, Father Cahill transported the children by bus to Pohara Beach where they took over the beach camping ground and there spent two idyllic days swimming, exploring, competing in a big sports programme and just generally enjoying themselves.
