Two of the staff of G. B. H. Bakeries in Stoke, Rosslyn Chambers and Beryl Gibbins. Rosslyn, aged 15, has been with the bakery for six weeks. She came from Balclutha five years ago and attended Waimea College. She's keen on softball, basketball and pop music. Beryl is married and has been with the bakery for seven years. She also attended Waimea College. In her leisure moments she likes to listen to pop music, go dancing, decorate cakes and play basketball.

Shifting into his new home at Tahuna shortly is Ron Warwick, his wife and two children. Ron, a carpenter, came to Nelson from Devon 2½ years ago. When not working on his house Ron and the family get into the car and tour the countryside. He's also a keen swimmer.

Going over this lovely 1930, Rolls Royce of Ray Beach for a w. o. f., is Colin Gordon, a mechanic with Stoke Motors and a keen vintage car enthusiast. With his father, Norm vin Gordon, Colin works on threetage cars they own – a 1918 Nash, 1924 Overland and the daddy of the lot, a 1907 Darracq. Colin was educated at Waimea College, is still single, and is also very keen on motor racing.

Relief teaching at Stoke primary school at the moment is Rewa Walsh, mother of three children. Rewa was a teacher before she married and is helping out at Stoke school. She is intensely keen on drama and is a member of the Garrick Theatre. Her other great hobby is sun bathing.

From Brightwater each day, to the Stoke office of Baldwin and Brown where she is a receptionist, comes Ann Wagtendonk. Ann is married to Wally Wagtendonk (the aero club's chief flying instructor) and has two children. She is keen on animals, and gardening.
