Free-falling over Nelson is Hugh Levorsen, a member of the Nelson Parachute Club. Hugh took the plunge from 7000 ft, free-falling to 2700ft. On the way down, Derek Doull, of Auckland, also in a free fall, took these pix. The ones at right show the stages as the pilot chutes begin to open the main canopies.
