Drilling for Hot Water

Is there a hot water spring under Tahunanui's sands? There may well be, but we won' t know for sure until drilling resumes. Mr S. Lawrence firmly believes there is, and the city council is prepared to pay him for it should he find it. But when drilling stopped at about 130ft, there was no concrete evidence of not water. We hope there is. What a boon it would be to Nelson. Our top pic shows the drilling rig in position and below, Mr Lawrence inspects samples of sand washed to the surface.
