A place for everything and everything in its place, is the motto of Geoff Bennett and Tom Kane, storemen at the Nelson City Council store. Geoff, who is married, with one daughter, is head storeman and has been with the council since 1940. He hopes to retire next year and give greater attention to his gardening, motoring and tramping. Tom, the assistant storeman for the last two years, is married, with two children. He also has been with the council a long time (16 years) and his leisuretime pursuits include fishing off the wharf with the children, and gardening.
