Bride of the Year

The Motueka Memorial Hall was filled to capacity for the Bride of the Year contest run by the Motueka Free Kindergarten Association, and as a result the association hopes to benefit by about $240. As well as the contest, the big audience was entertained to musical items and a fashion parade.

Bride of the year, by popular vote, was Mrs Anne Tillson. Her pearl-studded bridal gown was the most eye-catching of all the 20 entrants. Second prize winner was Helen Hodgkinson and third was Cara Inglis.
