A couple of likely lads, Nigel Jenkins (right) and Gregory Rowe, projectionists at the Majestic Theatre (Nigel's the boss). Nigel comes from Takaka, and was educated at Takaka District High School. He has been chief projectionist at the theatre for 1½ years. He's a slot car enthusiast and is also keen on surfing and tennis. Gregory has been a projectionist for just over a year. He came from Wanganui originally, but has been in Nelson the last three years. He's a keen swimmer and radio enthusiast.

Mary Bagnall ·had some pressing business to attend to so we didn' t detain her. Mary is a presser with Exclusive Dry Cleaners and has been with the firm for 3½ years. She came to Nelson from Essex 4 years ago, and has one son (14 years) at Waimea College. She is a keen sewer and is an enthusiastic traveller.

Maurice Davidson and his wife, Mabel, came to Nelson from Ashburton last year to establish their chemist shop in the Hardy Mall. They have one daughter who is working for a B.A. at Otago University. Both are keen on fishing and Maurice is especially keen on boat building ("anything that sails"). He's an old Rugby player. Mrs Davidson also helps with the boat building.

Tom Chivers is the proprietor of Handwrought, a firm of sheet metal and wrought iron workers, and he's been in this line for over 30 years. He came to New Zealand 9 years ago from Surrey. He has two boys, both at school. He served in the Fleet Air Arm during World War 11 and is keen on angling, soccer and working for Lions and Jaycees.
