College Teams Win Three Basketball Titles

To walk off with an inter-secondary schools' basketball title is no mean feat, but when one school can enter three teams in three separate tourneys, win the lot and lose only one game in the process - then that's something to be really proud about. And that's just what Nelson College teams achieved this year. The senior team won the Wellington inter-secondary schools' invitation tournament in which 22 teams competed, winning all but one of its six games. The intermediate team won the South Island title (17 teams) winning all seven games, and the under 16 team was undefeated in the Wellington inter-secondary schools' tournament (16 teams) A wonderful record.
