Our Cover

Autumn has come and in most places, gone, but here and there the yellowing leaves have clung tenaciously to the branches, as if unwilling to lose the life grip. It was in the Maitai Valley that we found the golden leaves still quite thick on a few branches, and Patricia Butler added charm to the setting with her presence.

Autumn in Nelson is the time of peace and serenity, and there are days when there's hardly a breath of wind to cause a ripple on the water. It was such a day when we visited the small boat harbour to record this pic, at the top of our back cover.

One of Nelson's loveliest spots, yet still unknown to many, is Sandy Bay. This picture was taken during the hot summer months. Not long to go now before it's summer again. Hurrah!
