Rose Society Show
The new showroom of Bowater Motors took on a new look last month when gleaming cars were replaced by glowing roses. The Nelson District Rose Society held its rose and floral art show this year in aid of finance for the Nelson branch of the New Zealand Foundation for the Blind.

Mrs Netta Perry (Mapua) makes a final adjustment to her display
Mr "Kay" Sutton, vice-president of the society, and Mrs Merle Greer (right), secretary, describe some of the beautiful blooms they're holding to Mrs Marjorie Monk, a totally blind member of the foundation.
A little dab of spray by Mrs Gwyneth Thomson adds freshness to her exhibit.
