Trafalgar Street Stakes

There was no purse, nor saddles, nor hoppled or half-hoppled stipulations for the strangest race ever held in Trafalgar Street.

All that were needed were three elephants and three riders. They obtained these per courtesy of the circus, the Public Relations Office, Radio 2Xn and the reporters' room of the "Mail". And they, in turn, drew a tremendous crowd. The race was held to raise funds for the Natureland and Lions' children's playgrounds.
