Judith Baigent, a 21-year-old Nelson hairdresser, will represent Nelson-Marlborough at the national finals of the "Miss New Zealand" contest. Judith was chosen "Miss Nelson" from a field of 11 when the local contest, organised by the Nelson Round Table, was held in the Stoke Memorial Hall last month. Runner-up was Carol O'Sullivan, Blenheim, and Pamela Scoltock was third. (Pix by Peter Cooper Studio)
