Nelson's historic homes no. 1

×

This huge old house, now the property of Miss R. Z. R. Richardson, has for long been hidden from the passerby by trees and shrubs. It is on the corner of Richardson Street and Princes Drive, and stands in about two acres of land. The house was built originally for Lieutenant-Colonel Albert Pitt, a former Attorney General and Minister of Defence, in 1878. Inside are 17 rooms, including six bedrooms. The property has recently been subdivided and shortly nine sections will be offered for sale by auction.
