Off to Napier on promotion is Bert Miliar and family. At back are Heather and Helen and in front, his wife Ngaire and daughter Janice. The tremendous effort that Bert put into the Wakatu Pony Club during his four years as president was recognised when the club members turned out en masse to make presentations to them. in Napier Bert will be terminal superintendent for Mobiloil.

After filling the dual positions of health and building inspectors for the Richmond and Motueka Borough Councils and the Waimea County Council for the last 18 months, Graeme Hamlin is taking wife Gwenda and children Bruce, John and Lesley to Blenheim where he has been appointed health inspector to the borough.

A tremendous break for Trevor Gardiner and family is having to leave Nelson for Christchurch. Trevor, who has lived here all his life, his wife, Beverley, and children Graeme, Michael and Susan, have already left for the south where Trevor has been promoted to the position of service representative with Andrews and Beaven.

From Gisborne come the family of Josephine and Fred Appleton, Julie, Patrick and in front, Wendy. Fred is bridge overseer with the Ministry of Works.
