Demolition work on the old Tasman Hotel at the port was well under way when we took this pic. By circulation date we expect the building will have disappeared altogether and a start may have been made on the erection of a modern tavern. At left, a front end loader emerges from a downstairs room to continue its work of destruction and cleaning up.
