The Growth of Richmond
Richmond, the centre of Nelson's farming community, is going ahead. In the last five years several new areas have been opened up for housing and the town is beginning to spread. At far right are Waimea College and Waimea Intermediate School and at right top, the showgrounds. The main street, Queen Street, runs from the left to the centre of the picture.
