Roy Pike, who for 38 years has served Ingram and Co and latterly Magnus Motors. In fact, this is the only job Roy has ever had. Roy, a returned serviceman, is keen on golf, gardening and the gee gees. He's a bachelor.
Peter Styles, a letterpress machinist with A. G. Betts and Co, was married recently. Peter is keen on softball and Rugby, not to mention his bride.

Mae Rowling is a keen fisherwoman (surf-casting). She is also the proprietress of the Popular Choice Library in Hardy Street, the mother of two children and grandmother of 7. As is to be expected, she's also a keen reader and a gardener. Quite well-known around Motueka-Riwaka way, too.

Janet Miller, a shop assistant with Para Rubber Co. Janet has lived in Nelson 12 years. Her main interests outside her work are tennis and swimming in the summer, and hockey, reading and knitting.
