Out for a Duck

Every year we've risen early' to cover the opening of the duck shooting season, and in those years we have seen grey ducks, mallard ducks, paradise and other species, but for this season, for most shooters, it was a "blue duck". The sky was cloudless and windless and rain had fallen in the back country a couple of weeks earlier ensuring plenty of water back country for the birds. Most shooters agreed that this was the worst opening on record.
