"The Press" Shield Stays Put

For the tenth successive year "The Press" challenge shield for shooting was taken from its now permanent position in the foyer of the main entrance at Nelson College, presented to the winning team, and taken back for re-hanging. The college's cadet team won the shield for the 11th successive time last year, when it scored 99.2 points - a New Zealand record score for this shoot. The trophy was presented to the college by the Chief of Staff of Southern Military District (Lieut-Col R. J. Moor).
