"Macbeth"

"Macbeth" is not the easiest of Shake-sperean plays, but the fears that the young Garrick Theatre was slightly over-ambitious in undertaking so difficult a work were not realised. The dramatic and eerie effects were heightened by excellent sound, lighting and make-up, and the cast, under the guiding hand of producer Molly Dickinson, lived their parts. The ruthless Lady Macbeth and her husband, Macbeth, demanded spirited acting, and these roles were well-suited to Anne Comber and Denis Richards.
